We are excited to announce that Dr. John Ellis will be the guest clinician for our Piano Pedagogy Seminar on February 7, 2015. He will present on “Motivating Teenagers to Stay at the Piano,” and “A Method for Children by Marguerite Long,” and will do a masterclass. We will also hear from BGSU’s graduate piano pedagogy students, in a session of lightning talks and discussion. They will give several short presentations on classic pedagogy topics, then lead small group break-out discussions on each topic.
As we prepare for an excellent seminar, we need your help:
– If you are willing to help provide refreshments for the day, please email Joy Morin.
– If you are willing to volunteer to staff the registration table the day of the seminar, OR
– If you would like your student to play in the seminar master class (any level, memorized repertoire), please email Ana Yoder Coulter. There will be room for four students this year. First come, first served.
