Presenter: Janna Williamson – collaborator/teacher/consultant- https://www.jannawilliamson.com/ will present 2 sessions: 20/20 VISION FOR TEACHERS: BUILDING A FOUNDATION FOR EXPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE and a Masterclass

There will also be Lightening Talks!

Details:

  1. If you invite a friend who is NOT an OMTA member, we will refund your application fee for the day. 
  2. If you are currently NOT an OMTA member and sign up for membership by September 15th, we will refund your application fee. (This does not apply to collegiate memberships since they are heavily discounted.) 
  3. College students regardless of membership status are the same fee. Please encourage your college students to attend and check us out. 
  4. Our event will be held in the Conrad Room at the Wolfe Center, directly behind the Moore Musical Arts Building on the campus of BGSU. 
  5. We will begin the day with our Annual meeting at 9:00 am. If you are a member, please plan to be there. We have some exciting things to discuss and would like input from as many members as possible. 
  6. We will have reservations for lunch at a local restaurant (with plenty of time allowed.) Please indicate on the application form if you would like us to reserve a spot for you.
  7. Reservation deadline is September 20th.

Northwest District OhioMTA Music Festival – Saturday, February 11, 2023

This annual festival is open to all piano students, and provides an opportunity for hardworking, well-prepared students to be evaluated against a standard of excellence and encouraged by suggestions for improvement. Each performer will receive a comment sheet, festival ribbon, and a certificate for participation in the festival. Recitals will be in one-hour segments.  Parents, friends, and teachers are invited to attend.

Application DeadlineDecember 1, 2022 Repertoire changes can be accepted until January 15th, with pieces of the same time length (or less). 

Fees: $15.00/student of each OMTA member teacher, or $17.00/student of each non-OMTA member teacher. Teachers shall submit one check payable to Northwest District OMTA for the total amount due from all students. Fees are non-refundable.
