This Saturday, February 16th, will be our annual NWOMTA Piano Pedagogy Seminar! You are invited to attend this wonderful seminar being led this year by guest pedagogue Dr. Andrea McAlister from Oberlin Conservatory. She will be presenting on:

1.) “That’s a Good Question!: Knowing when and how to ask the right question to foster curiosity and learning”

2.) “Teaching with Technology: New tools for music teachers”

3.) MASTERCLASS

BGSU students will also be presenting lightning talks.

Registration is from 8:30am – 9am and our day will conclude at 3:30pm. Please join us this Saturday at the Moore Musical Arts Center at BGSU for this exciting event!

Our OMTA Northwest District is pleased to invite you to a special Fall event…


Join us for a free, half-day sharing event for area piano teachers to exchange their best teaching tips on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the Simpson Building at Simpson Garden Park in Bowling Green. The day will feature a series of fast-paced, 20-minute presentations offered by OMTA Northwest District members, culminating with a potluck lunch and round table discussion. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to share and gain fresh teaching ideas to help you and your students kick off the new school year!

Our annual Northwest District OMTA Piano Pedagogy Seminar was held on February 18, 2017. It was a great success, thanks to your participation and support!

Dr. Lucia Unrau presented two workshop sessions and gave a wonderful masterclass.
